“Whenever there is a challenge, there is also an opportunity to face it, to demonstrate and develop our will and determination.” -Dahli Llama In 2013, Kevin Forystek had an idea. Diagnosed with multiple sclerosis, he wanted to host a golf outing to raise funds and awareness for those struggling with the same disease. He approached a group of friends with the idea which would later become the committee of Clio Fighting MS. An amazing organization local to Amigo, Clio Fighting MS hosts an annual golf outing called the “One Eye Open” (a name a friend gave in tribute to Kevin losing sight in his right eye from the disease). This event raises funds and engages community members to help fight MS. From this event and donations, the committee has done amazing work for those with MS in the surrounding communities. |
“After we formed Clio Fighting MS, I drove by Amigo one day and pulled in and asked if the company was aware of anyone that could benefit from our non-profit. From that point in time we have partnered with Amigo and been able to donate more than a dozen Amigos to those who have MS and were in need of one. I am very grateful for their partnership.”

An Amigo RD owner himself since 2021, Kevin and his organization are a true inspiration for our local communities and the larger community of multiple sclerosis survivors.
Kevin and his wife, Kim, have two children and two grandchildren that they enjoy spending time with. Aside from his organization and family, Kevin enjoys watching sports and deer hunting. When asked about his Amigo, he says, “I now have the ability to go do what I want without stressing about how I will get wherever I am going. It’s really cool to be able to help others and get to experience the aid from an Amigo myself.”
