Error code

1

Or battery gauge LEDS flashing 1-1

Description: Brake circuit is shorted.

Solution:
(1) Check all connections running from the brake to the controller.
(2) Disconnect the brake wires from the controller. Turn the key off, then on. If the code changes to a “2”, replace the brake.
(3) Replace the motor controller.

Error code

Or battery gauge LEDS flashing 1-2

Description: Brake circuit is open.

Solution:
(1) Check all connections running from the brake to the controller.
It is recommended the technician carry an extra motor/brake harness (P/N 11235), and 18-pin harness (P/N 10947). If any of these harnesses have a bad connection it can create a “2” code.
(2) Replace the brake.
(3) Replace the motor controller.

Description: Motor circuit is shorted

Solution:
(1) Check all connections running from the brake to the controller.
(2) Disconnect the brake wires from the controller. Turn the key off, then on. If the code changes to a “2”, replace the brake.
(3) Replace the motor controller.

Description: Motor circuit is open.

Solution:
(1) Check all connections running from the motor to the controller. It is
recommended the technician carry an extra motor/brake harness (P/N 11235). Try a new 11235-Harness to see if it resolves the problem.
(2) Replace the motor.
(3) Replace the motor controller.

Description: Throttle circuit out of range.

Solution:
(1) Check to make sure the 8969-Handle Cable is in good condition and the handle cable receptacle on the motor controller and the throttle enclosure are good.
(2) Check that throttle lever moves freely and returns to neutral position
(3) Replace the throttle device.

Description: Motor controller over temperature condition.

Solution:
(1) Turn the Amigo off and allow it to sit idle for 15 minutes. Restart and drive for five minutes to see if the code
disappears.
(2) If the code reappears, check to see if the brake or motor is causing excessive amp draw, if yes replace them.
(3) Replace the motor controller.

Or battery gauge LEDS flashing 4-2

Description: Battery charger did not change to float mode during battery charging.

Solution:
NOTE: This code will only appear while the battery charger is connected to the wall outlet. To insure the problem has been corrected you must allow the battery charger to run through a full charge cycle.

(1) Replace the 7852-Dc Charge Cable and check by allowing the charger to run through a full charge cycle.
(2) Replace the battery charger and check by allowing the charger to run through a full charge cycle.
(3) Replace the motor controller and check by allowing the charger to run through a full charge cycle.

Or battery gauge LEDS flashing 2-3 or 5-2

Description: Motor controller fault condition (The description on the throttle enclosure will read: Power shortage”, Controller drive FEWTS shorted”, or “Controller regenerative braking FETS shorted”)

Solution:
(1) Turn the Amigo off and allow it to sit idle for 1 minute. With a voltage meter connected to the batteries, restart the Amigo and measure to insure the
battery voltage does not drop more than 1-volt. If the voltage drops more than 1-volt replace the batteries.
(2) Replace the motor controller.
