United Way Saginaw Supported by Amigo Mobility

Every year Amigo Mobility raises money for United Way of Saginaw to help support our local community.

United Way fights for the heath, education, and financial stability of every person in every community. United Way of Saginaw County fights for ALICE. Across Michigan, 43% of households struggle to afford the basic necessities of housing, childcare, food, technology, healthcare, and transportation. That’s why United Ways across Michigan have come together to bring you the ALICE Project: Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. The program represents those in our communities who are working yet struggling to make ends meet.

Their goal is to left nearly 5,000 Saginaw County Residents out of the ALICE level classifications of poverty. They continue to create community impact everyday by connecting community resources and volunteers – the programs would not be possible if it were not for the multiple community partnerships.

Recently, the organization came to Amigo to include Vice President Beth Thieme in their 2011 Donor Support Video. Amigo Mobility was one of six businesses, the other businesses featured are Wildfire Credit Union, Wanigas Credit Union, Hemlock Semiconductor, Spence Brothers Construction and the SISD.
