Keeping Passions Alive
Changing your method of mobility does not mean your passions have to change too. Conrad Patrick has been an avid hunter throughout his life and his Amigo has proven to be a rightful sidekick in many of his successful hunts.

In 1979, Conrad was attending high school when he faced a life-changing mobility challenge. It was then where his family made the decision to purchase an Amigo so Conrad could travel to and from school without additional assistance. He began his new journey in a yellow, front wheel drive Amigo.

Since then, he has relied on an Amigo for all his mobility needs, including a fall favorite activity – deer hunting! In 1990, Conrad upgraded to the Amigo RD which proved to navigate the more rugged landscape that accommodates most hunting activities. Conrad says, “For hunting, I use my Amigo to get to my stand going down trails that were used for logging. I use my Amigo pretty rough and am surprised what it goes through.”

Some states have permits available for people to hunt from a parked vehicle or ORV. For example, Michigan DNR states that a person who due to injury, disease, amputation or paralysis is permanently disabled and unable to walk in a hunting situation can hunt from a vehicle. Learn more
