In 1984, my motor went out & was told I would be without it for more than a week. Al Thieme shipped a new motor the next day (12/23)! You're da best!

“This little Classic is a jewel! It is a definite "must have" to tackle
my challenge of limited mobility. Disassembly is a breeze...transporting
is nearly effortless...it is stylish, comfortable, sturdy yet
lightweight...easy to operate.
And the cost is nominal when compared to the freedom I gain for keeping up with
the pace of my business schedule, activities with grandchildren, community
events...or a fun evening of shopping and dining with a friend. My clear
choice is a Classic...the safe and easy way to be constantly on the
move."

The Amigo “Pal” with pals…

“I always look forward to outings with my grandson, Evan. We stay close and
enjoy each other’s company. Since I’ve had the Amigo, we go to his favorite
places without my getting tired. Recently, we spent 4-1/2 hours at the zoo!
Because I have a bad hip, this would’ve been impossible without my Amigo Pal.
Evan is even able to disassemble the Amigo and put it in the trunk for me,
because it’s so lightweight. My grandson and I have always been the best of
pals and, now, we both enjoy our Amigo Pal as well.”

“I love the Amigo Classic and the pep and energy it has. Its ability to
navigate on steep inclines is wonderful. I have no trouble
transporting the Classic. It disassembles and fits easily into
vans and car trunks. After traveling by air with an Amigo for 20 years, I
can honestly say that this time (my son’s wedding weekend at a ski resort in
northern CA) was the easiest. The battery pack gives me all the
power I need for very busy days. I never notice the battery
running out of power and the Classic is charged every night as is
recommended. I feel totally and completely safe using the Amigo Classic.”

“Because of the reliability and durability of the Amigo scooters and their
attractive appearance and functionality, I have independence at
this stage in the progression of my disease that I never dreamed possible.
Moreover, the Amigo keeps me using as many of my muscle groups as
possible…the Amigo is one of the first capital assets that I have
purchased where the manufacturer had obviously listened very carefully to the
needs of the customer. Now, the little Amigo Classic is perfect for
my business travels and family vacations. It is so easy for my wife
to assemble, disassemble and place in the trunk of our vehicle.
(Actually, she has placed it in the back seat several times as well, because it
fits perfectly.) Generally, I rely on my full-time Amigo RT Express, but
the Amigo Classic is a great option for quick trips and portability from
one vehicle to another.”

Vacationing in Mexico
VJO (NJ)
“I can’t say enough about your Amigo Classic and I had to go all the way to
Mexico to find out about it! I speak as one whose close friend has a huge
scooter that appears to be so cumbersome. This spunky little scooter can
spin on a quarter and turn around like a sports car. I
neglected to tell you that I am 5’8” and weight 195 lbs, so I am no
lightweight, but had no problems going up dry, steep ramps…AND I just
love the way the Amigo automatically brakes traveling down ramps.
I was looking to slow the speed down myself, but that was not even
necessary. The Amigo was totally responsive to all my commands and my
first real experience on the Amigo was a great one!”

"The Classic provides freedom to do all those normal activities I had really
missed. If I want to go out to dinner, go shopping with my wife or out to
a movie, I just put it in the car and go. In addition, I am much
less fatigued and have the energy to actually enjoy the event. The
transportation is so convenient that I bought one for my wife. We can
now spend more time and enjoy more activities together we couldn't
before. In fact, we recently took a trip to Niagara Falls we thought we'd
never get to make. We just shipped our Amigos along with our
luggage and rode out of the airport together. It was great!
You may want to post a warning label, “Caution, purchase of this scooter voids
any excuses to avoid long shopping trips”!

Testimonial submitted by vacationer in Cancun--
"...this time, we were not sure how our stay would work out as our 13 year old
son broke his ankle in three pieces, two days before leaving. He always enjoys
the pool and beach and all the activities for the kids. He was put in a
swimming cast, but could put no weight on it nor walk for 6 weeks, so he was
confined to a wheelchair/crutches. He was very upset that he couldn't do
anything. At the pool, a gentleman and his wife (Al & Beth Thieme) came to
us and told us that our son could use the Amigo they had brought to introduce
to the Resort.
I just want to tell you how wonderful our vacation was because of this. Our son
had his freedom back and we had our time to rest and relax without having to
jump to his every need. This wonderful machine (the Classic) gave him the
ability to come and go and get around without our help---without the Amigo our
trip would not have been so relaxing. We so look forward to this trip every
year...We think that the Amigo would be a great asset for all of those with
mobility problems frequenting the Resorts. The Amigo is just the right size to
make maneuvering and getting around perfect...and the durability was awesome. I
figure if a 13 year old can run it, it is built to last!
