On Monday, December 7th, 2020 an exciting change began happening at the Amigo Mobility Headquarters in Bridgeport, Michigan. Our building expansion started.
Amigo founder, Al Thieme, even got to take the first swing at tearing down the old building.
One of our existing buildings was no longer functional and it was time to tear it down. A new building will go up in it’s place to help with the growth of our company.
“Being more efficient with our space was a priority to help streamline our manufacturing line. It’s necessary as we continue grow in motorized shopping cart sales. We also needed additional space as we diversify into material handling products.” said Beth Thieme, Amigo Mobility president and CEO. “We have confidence in our community and country.”
“The expansion will add three new jobs as Amigo Mobility’s production has been increasing at a steady pace,” Thieme said. “Our growth in the material handling space along with sales of motorized shopping carts made this expansion necessary.”
This year we celebrated not only our 52nd anniversary but now this growth and we couldn’t be more thankful.
“We’re proud to continue with more than half a century of manufacturing in Michigan,” Beth Thieme said.
